Michael Gibson is a consummate businessman. He is the Creator of Norm Therapy having spent over 26 years developing the service, platforms, programs, and processes. Having travelled to over eighty countries and lived in over twenty, Mr. Gibson has an eclectic array of business acumen, human development skills and vast knowledge of the geopolitical, social, and financial manoeuvrings around the globe.
He is a former Special Forces “Green Beret,” both Officer and Senior Enlisted, a helicopter pilot, linguist, Master Parachutist (Freefall & Static Line), Master Scuba Diver, US Army Ranger, 3rd Dan Goju-Ryu, avid world traveler, and Owner of Norm Therapy.
Michael has successfully conducted international, entrepreneurial, and C Level business transactions and other endeavors. Contemporary to the needs of our global society, Michael has created or been involved in the creation of RealEstate.com, Criticalist.com, ContractMentor.com, AbuseRefuge.Org and InternationalMonies.com, to name a few.

Norm Therapy® is an innovative abuse management interviewing process whereby the Norm Therapist® will interview an eclectic array of Victims or Survivors (V/S) from around the world. Norm Therapy® is more personalized than traditional therapies, whereby the Norm Therapists® are able to self-disclose to the V/S our experiences and life knowledge, and further connect to what the V/S has been through. Not all interviews will possess every element of this structure; however, the Norm Therapy® platform gives the most comprehensive approach towards the V/S in finding clarity, providing assessment, and arriving at the truth.
Michael Gibson is the Creator of Norm Therapy® and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Abuse Refuge Org (ARO). Gibson had the idea of what Norm Therapy® would become long before it had a name, and after 26 years of conceptualization, research, and preparation, Norm Therapy® was born. In 2018, Kelly Dehn, Global Executive Director & Co-Founder of ARO was the first person to go through an earlier version of Norm Therapy® with Michael himself.ARO’s Pioneer cohort graduated from the NTIS Training Program in December of 2021, which included original members, Kelly Dehn, who was the first Honor Graduate, along with Kim Carpenter, Norm Therapy® Manager.
In 2022, Michael introduced the Trailblazer cohorts – March, May, August, November and December, of which Nicole Leonard is an original Trailblazer & Honor Graduate from the March 2022 cohort and serves as the Norm Therapy® Senior Human Resources Supervisor. Furthermore, all 2023 cohorts will be recognized as Pathfinders.
Norm Therapy® is infiltrating the marketplace and growing exponentially through focused efforts on training Norm Therapist® and fundraising in order to be able to reach the vast number of abuse V/S.
